Getting started

A short guide to connecting a board and reading a test. Full per-board notes ship with the firmware and are expanded as boards are verified.

1. Power and connect

Place the hashboard on the bench and connect it to HashProbe with the harness for that board. The connector and power lugs are keyed to match the board's own layout. Do not apply main board power until the harness is seated.

The tester drives the chip chain's signal lines; the board's main power comes from your bench supply. Follow the per-board note for the correct voltage and the order to switch things on.

2. Run a test

Open the tester's screen or its web UI over Wi-Fi and press Run. HashProbe identifies the board, walks the chip chain, then — where the board supports it — reads temperatures and scans cores. Use Test with reset on UART boards when you want the chain reset before every pass.

3. Read the board

Each die is a cell on a zoomable canvas laid out like the real board. Colour is the verdict:

Click any chip for its detail. Use the scrubber to replay the run and watch cores change as the board heats.

4. Keep the firmware current

HashProbe checks for signed firmware updates and installs them itself over the air. New board support and fixes arrive this way. See Downloads for the changelog.

Per-board wiring and voltages differ. Always use the note for your specific board, and if anything is unclear, ask us before powering on.
